How we choose what to recommend — and what we refuse to publish.

Research-based recommendations

Every MoleMarket guide is built from documented research: manufacturer specifications, expert reviews, and long-term owner feedback. We define the criteria that matter for a category before we look at any product, compare the credible contenders against those criteria, and explain — on the page — why each pick won and who it is for.

Our byline

Articles are published under the byline Sarah Bright, the pen name of the MoleMarket editorial team. The editorial team is responsible for the research, fact-checking and recommendations on this site. We do not invent qualifications, professional titles, or personal experience, and we never present a pen name as a verified individual reviewer.

Independence

Commissions never influence our recommendations. Products are selected on research merit alone; a product with no affiliate programme can still be recommended, and a product that earns a commission can still be criticised or excluded. We never accept payment for placement, and manufacturers do not review or approve our guides before publication. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how we are funded.

Hands-on testing

Unless a guide explicitly states that we tested a product hands-on, our recommendations are research-based. We never fabricate test results, measurements, ratings, or personal anecdotes.

Accuracy and updates

Specifications are checked against manufacturer sources at the time of writing. Guides are re-checked when products change or are discontinued, and pages carry their publication date. Errors are handled under our Corrections Policy.
